BusinessConnect accounts no longer require travellers to have an Etihad Guest membership linked to the company account in order to earn miles.
Going forward, all you will need to do when making a booking is to enter the company’s new 12-digit BusinessConnect account number under the OSI (Other Service Information) field.
However, if the employee already has an Etihad Guest membership number, please capture this into the booking as well, so that he or she can also earn personal Etihad Guest miles while travelling for business.
How to make a BusinessConnect booking?
Ask the account manager for the company's BusinessConnect 12-digit account number that begins with a seven. Enter this number under the OSI field (Other Service Information) when creating the booking or immediately after.
Use the entries on the GDS table as a guide when entering this into the booking. Please check the entry against the GDS that you work on.
If the employee has an Etihad Guest membership number, enter this into the booking too.
If you are a Travel Management Company (TMC) or an agency which manages a company’s travel bookings, then remember to add the respective company’s BusinessConnect account number in the booking. Quote the respective company’s BusinessConnect account number on your GDS for all bookings.
Etihad Guest miles will be credited against the flown activity of your valued customers as long as the BusinessConnect account number is quoted in the reservation prior to the customers' travel.
